{x/35} Content
Obviously -- what you write about. I don't want to see a blog full of quizzes, day logs, and other junk. Those things are fine if your diary is for your own personal benefit, but if you want to expand your writing capabilites, then write! Nobody is going to
be entertained by a laundry list of what your daily activities are unless they know you personally, and perhaps not even then.
{x/20} Conventions
This is also a very important part of becoming an excellent writer; you need to know how to spell, punctuate, avoid grammatical errors, etc. Typos
happen, and I understand that, but remember -- spell check is the sister of success! TXT TLK is inexcusable.
{x/25} Design
It seems like a lot for just your layout, but appearances have a big influence on my opinion. For most people, it does.
Humans are very visual, by nature, so appeal to that sense in the best way you know how. Your layout does not have to be
the most intricate design in the world, but it should be neat and professional while staying true to your personalities and
preferences.
{x/15} Organization
Is your diary easily navigable? Or do I need star charts and compasses? Your navigation should be all in one place, or at least
distinguishable from the rest of your layout. Broken links and CSS links that move the tables/images around will count heavily against you, too.
{x/5} Stalkability
I want to be able to contact you if I need to! So, e-mail, notes, MySpace -- all of that counts as a way to speak with you.
